Cleanse Recipe Examples

When you think about cleansing, don't think fasting.

Pureeing raw or eating low heat or centrifugal force warming (like in a Vitamix), type foods, you are basically putting your "acid making" on vacation and increasing "alkaline". Meaning, vegetables are naturally alkaline, and when you eliminate the need to chew or digest, you are basically sending nutrition directly where it needs to go without any work.

Feast on puree and increase your hydration, and add fresh lemon, celtic salt, spices, coconut milk, avocadoes, etc., when you cleanse, it increases your nutritional levels,gives you a sense of well being and easily starts moving the toxins out.

Whether you cleanse for a day or a week, it's a good thing. It's also a good thing to passively cleanse by making sure dinner is the healthiest meal of the day, or to puree a few times a week (some people like me do it as often as possible), make it a part of your daily wellness schedule.

Cold Drink/Smoothies

Shawn's Shakado

  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 3 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 English cucumber
  • 1 large avocado
  • 2 limes, peeled
  • 1 scoop Essante Organic Earth Greens Powder
  • 1 tray ice cubes
  • water to drinkable consistency (usually about 12-16 oz.)

This makes about 60 oz.-serves 3-4

Place cabbage, spinach, cucumber chunks in VitaMix. Cut avocado in half, remove pit, scoop avocado into VitaMix, add SuperGreens, SuperSoy Sprouts, lime quarters or lime juice, ice cubes and 1 cup water. Mix adding water as needed to creamy, drinkability!


Anytime Juice

  • 1 bunch of kale
  • 1 bunch of celery
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 handful of spinach leaves
  • 1 avocado
  • 1scoop Essante Earth Greens Powder
  • 1 chili Pepper

Put kale, celery, lemon through a juicer. In blender, combine resulting juice with remaining ingredients. Blend and enjoy!


Minty Freeze

  • 1 cucumber,
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Juice of 1 grapefruit
  • 1 avocado,
  • 1 cup raw spinach
  • 1/2 can coconut milk
  • 1 scoop Essante Earth Greens Powder
  • 4-5 drops Supreme pH
  • 2-4 sprigs fresh mint leaves or 1/2 tsp. mint flavoring
  • 14 ice cubes

Asparagus Tomato Soup

  • 12 stalks medium Asparagus
  • 1 Avocado
  • 5-6 lg. Tomatoes
  • 1 cup fresh Parsley
  • 3-5 Sun-dried Tomatoes (bottled in Olive Oil)
  • 1/4 cup dried Onion
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 red Bell pepper
  • Real Salt, Celtic Salte, Himalayan Salt (unbleached sea salt) to taste
  • 2-2 tsp. Herbes de Provence
  • 2 tsp. Deliciously Dill
  • 2 Lemons, cut in thin slices

Trim and dice tips from asparagus and set aside for a garnish. Blend all ingredients except Avocado, Lemon slices, RealSalt and Asparagus tips in VitaMix. Blend in Avocado until smooth and creamy. Season with RealSalt, to taste. Pour in electric skillet and warm. Garnish with lemon slices and diced asparagus tips before serving!

Also delicious served cold during warm weather!


Shredded Vegetable Soup

  • 6 cups Vegetable Broth (no Yeast)
  • 1 cup thinly diced Onion
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped Cabbage
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper, diced
  • 2 cups diced Broccoli
  • 2 cups diced Celery
  • 2 cloves Fresh Garlic, diced
  • RealSalt, Celtic, or Himalayan (unbleached sea salt) to taste

Heat broth. Combine vegetables in VitaMix. Add 1/2 the warm broth. Mix till smooth. Pour veggie/broth mixture into the rest of the broth, RealSalt to taste! Enjoy a warm, satisfying, alkalizing meal!


Broccoli Soup Italiano

I steam a bunch of broccoli and put it to the side, then I put a dash of olive oil in another pan, lots of onion and garlic (the Italian coming out in me) and then once that has warmed, I add a chopped tomato or two depending on one’s taste for that vegetable. Once that is all warmed up together, I add a carton of vegetable broth from Pacific or whatever brand is available and let that all heat up together. Once I have this heated to my liking, I add all ingredients into a blender or VitaMix and puree it. It is really delicious and fills me up.

You can use this same method with zucchini, squash, cauliflower, spinach or really any vegetable. Adding the onion, garlic and tomato really makes everything taste good.
